I didn’t realise it was quite so hilly around the Stourport Manor where I’m staying! My first run in a fortnight, so I’m carrying the weight of those Full English Breakfasts and sandwich lunches, and I forgot to stop my watch until I was inside the hotel..

After a 3½ hour journey out of London, a quick change before heading out for a 6km run along the Thames, stopping for lots of gates, bridges and locks.
I just realised I hadn’t uploaded any of the images from the Milton Keynes Half Marathon early this month:
- Early On
- Nearly There
- At the Finish Line
- Posing with the medals
So I’m back running home from work again. Very warm and relatively slow just in case.
Back running again after 19 days following surgery and lots of overeating and drinking. And it didn’t help that my Bluez2 headphones ran out of power after 1.5km so all I could hear was some old bloke puffing and panting…
So two days after my half marathon and it’s back to my run-commute (and the last run for a week or so because of an operation).
So after an overnight stay at the Doubletree by Hilton MKStadium, I set out for my first half marathon and I’m really pleased with the results: personal best for 5k, 10k, half marathon and my longest run ever!
Hmm. Not sure about having to run some back and forth bits at the end to make up the mileage for some reason, plus it was slower due to numpty pedestrians on the first couple of klicks.
The first run with my new Garmin fenix 3 Sapphire which means new metrics and reports. Plus I need to do a quickie review at some point too.
